I’m with my friend Diana Chao, Founder & Executive Director of Letters to Strangers. She’s the youngest winner of the Unilever Young Entrepreneurs Award ever, has met with President Obama and the British Royals, and spoken at places from TEDxTeen in Times Square to the largest mental health organization in the U.S., NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
Letters to Strangers is the only youth-for-youth mental health nonprofit in the world that provides a multitude of engageable services. They’ve impacted over 30,000 people on six continents so far, and she founded this when she was 14! They aim to destigmatize mental illness and increase access to affordable, quality treatment through anonymous handwritten letter exchanges, science-informed peer education curricula, and grassroots policy-based advocacy.
