September 21 is the International Day of Peace, and as part of the celebration in New York City, the Art of Peace Charitable Trust (AOPCT) is hosting “Arms for Peace! The Peace Angels Project.”
AOPCT is collecting street weapons, processed decommissioned nuclear missile casings, land mines, parts of cluster bombs and other arms. These weapons will be melted down and used to create two Peace Angels monuments, one that will be in Los Angeles and one in New York City.
